The Path to Prosperity masterplan is a blueprint for comprehensive development focused on enhancing the quality of life for AlUla residents. It aims to sustainably regenerate the urban core of the county. Broad in scope, the masterplan incorporates infrastructure development for increased land usage, housing, municipal services, entertainment, leisure, and cultural facilities in purpose-built neighbourhoods. These are designed to meet the needs of AlUla’s rapidly expanding population.
Launched with a clear focus, Path to Prosperity aims to elevate and enhance the community’s quality of life in AlUla Central and South. It will boost economic opportunities, provide training, and upskill the community while offering quality education, healthcare, and transportation services. Directing the next stage of AlUla’s regeneration, Path to Prosperity will create a network of vibrant city centres, each with a collection of amenities, services, and green spaces.

Path to Prosperity will establish public spaces to enrich the lives of our community combined with innovative multimodal mobility solutions allowing residents greater connectivity across AlUla while encouraging physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Path to Prosperity’s urban progression will be integrated with AlUla’s wadi, providing our community with a deep and tangible connection with the natural environment and AlUla’s rich cultural landscape, further empowering AlUla’s ongoing regeneration as a dynamic and appealing destination to live and work.
AlUla’s unique cultural heritage will be preserved and promoted through the creation of new and reimagined community spaces, including unique district and community parks. A blueprint for long-term, sustainable, and inclusive growth, Path to Prosperity is the next stage in AlUla’s comprehensive and community-led regeneration.

Path to Prosperity has been designed to increase economic opportunities for our community. It will supercharge economic development by creating thriving new neighbourhoods and districts, such as the Entertainment, Retail, and Business Area in AlUla South.
Path to Prosperity encourages greater uptake of sports through access to new recreational facilities, with AlUla Sports Club & High-Performance Centre, AlUla Private Gym, and Mughayra Sports Village being some of the priority projects. Public spaces for outdoor living will feature outdoor gyms, skate parks, and football pitches.
Path to Prosperity reimagines public spaces for a growing population. The expanded public realm will combine public facilities and beautiful green open spaces to promote an active and social lifestyle for the people of AlUla.
The new masterplan directly contributes to the realisation of Vision 2030 by catalysing economic diversification in AlUla, improving quality of life for residents, and building the support services needed to accelerate the cultural, touristic, and economic elements of the Kingdom’s ambitions.

Recognising the importance of education, Path to Prosperity’s development areas will be equipped with quality schools, including kindergartens; elementary, intermediate, and high schools; international and private schools; and special needs schools.
Path to Prosperity encourages residents to share in the transformative power of arts and culture. It will enable the development of centres of creativity and collaboration, with spaces for our community to socialise and grow their skills.

Path to Prosperity is introducing new healthcare services, and priority projects include uplifting primary healthcare centres and Prince Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Hospital. In addition, the Social Rehabilitation Centre will open in 2025 in AlUla South.
