AlUla Music Competition

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. The submitted music piece must be original and composed by the applicant.
  3. The duration of the piece must be between 30–60 seconds.
  4. The applicant must be capable of developing a composition that can be adapted into a musical road melody according to technical requirements.
  5. The composition must reflect the spirit, identity, and culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and AlUla.
  6. The submitted recording or arrangement must meet basic quality standards.
  7. Creativity and innovation in melody and composition will be key evaluation factors.
  8. The applicant must commit to developing and finalizing the composition after the winner announcement (3-month development period).
  9. The applicant must agree to fully transfer all intellectual property rights to the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU).

According to the competition criteria: The applicant must be a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The composition must align with the spirit, identity, and culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and AlUla. The submitted music piece must be original and composed solely by the applicant.

Key Information for Applicants

  • Application Opens: 6 December 2025
  • Application Closes: 3 March 2026
  • Duration to Work on the Composition after Announcement: 3 months
  • Jury: A specialized music committee; entries will be evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the T&C
  • Winner Announcement: After the jury completes the review and evaluation of all submissions
  • Additional Requirement: National ID or Iqama number and the expiry date of the National ID/Iqama
