AlUla Music Competition

A call for music creators to submit an original music piece and contribute to shaping the evolving music landscape of AlUla.



AlUla Music Competition marks a global first. This is your chance to create
 a brand new original composition that will be embedded into a Musical Road.


The AlUla Music Hub invites all Saudi citizens and residents to compose the
 piece that will become AlUla's sonic identity.


What is a Musical Road?

A musical road is a specially engineered stretch of road with grooves or ridges cut into the surface.

When a vehicle drives over it at a set speed, the vibrations create audible tones, turning the road itself into an interactive musical experience.

The AlUla Musical Road will be constructed on a stretch of road in AlUla so that all visitors will be able to hear its melody.

Can a musical experience be inspired by AlUla?

 If selected as the winner, your composition will be integrated into the AlUla musical road, you will receive support to develop your music piece into a full length composition with advice from our esteemed judges. The selected composer will receive SAR 100,000 to transfer the copyright to Arts AlUla.

The deadline for submission is 31 May 2026.
